If your MGE UPS has a USB port (Only Windows 98 and Millenium)
When you plug in a MGE UPS with the PnP interface :

Windows 98 or Me detects it and install automatically some components (the class Human Interface Device) which are necessary to communicate with your UPS.

If theses components are not present on your computer, Windows will ask you to insert he Windows 98 or Me CDROM setup for install them.
After that, you need to install additional drivers to monitor your UPS as following :

Insert the
Solution-Pac
CD-ROM in your CD drive
or download PSP from MGE UPS SYSTEMS WEB

For CD-ROM installation only :
If necessary, in the task bar, select Run and type
<CD_DRIVE>:\STARTUP.EXE
. At the
Solution-Pac
Navigator Screen, select "Installation".

Select the option
Personal Solution-Pac for Windows

Follow the instructions on the Installation Wizard Screens. (Make sure communication cable is connected so that software recognizes automatically the UPS).

Note: From now on, PSP starts automatically when the system is booted.
